I have been a volunteer for Seminole County Animal Services for over 16 years. I’ve seen the inner workings and know firsthand the blood, sweat and tears the workers put into saving our communities throw-aways. Please help us get much needed funds to continue their saving of lives. Petfinder is proud to bring you the Animal Rescue Site $300,000 Shelter+ Challenge of 2011!

Lets gets some grant money in this challenge! It’s 4 rounds worth $75,000 each time in grants. I gave you a break at the last challenge and didn’t bug you and we didn’t get any prizes –  this time I am bugging you. We could sure use the grant money for all our fabulous adoptable animals.

The challenge starts today Monday 1/10/11 and you need to VOTE EVERYDAY. You can sign up for daily email reminders that makes it super easy. When you get your reminder,  just go to the site, click, vote and you’re done. Remember this is a marathon not a sprint. We have to all vote daily from home and work.

To VOTE Starting Monday morning:
Go  to:  http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com/clickToGive/shelterchallenge. Scroll down to the purple box, and in the “Shelter Name” field, type in “Seminole County Animal Services.” Next select “Sanford” and “FL.” Then hit “Search,” and click on “Vote.” Confirm your vote by naming the animal that pops up. It’s that simple and takes fewer than 10 seconds. Those 10 seconds will go a long way in helping Seminole County Animal Services and their wonderful adoptable animals.

Don’t forget you can also click for free and donate food to needy animals.

Our latest family members Setzer the old Siamese kitty…

and Randolph the old minpin are Seminole County Alumi. There are so many others out there just like them who need help. All you have to do is sit at your computer and click a few times to help save lives – how cool is that?!
