A special package arrived for us today. We commissioned artist, Gina Hall (http://www.ginahallstudios.com/), to paint Cassidy & Rebecca. The result is spectacular! It will proudly grace our home. I may get her to do all our babies….

I bought a watercolor painting of some appy horses from a woman named Heidi Harner. Her website is:

(That’s one of her pictures of a mare & foal). She also does commissioned pet portraits, but I believe she does those in oil.
I think that watercolors are the perfect medium of expression for painting horses — the freedom and movement of the pigment mirrors what these wonderful creatures are all about.
What a great picture..Love watercolors..
wish I could do them myself.
