Beautifully written. As you know my father passed last December as well (1936 - 2009) and he was so happy that I was fulfilling my dream with Henry. Unfortunately, he was too sick to ever meet Henry - something both of us wanted to happen. I mention this, after you wrote that your father was never able to meet your beautiful horses.

Remembering "fathers" with you during the holidays.

With love, Heather

Kathy,
That tribute to your dad was awesome!! I don't think I ever had the pleasure of meeting him. He sounded like a great guy and I know he raised at least one good girl:)

Kathleen, I'm so sorry for your loss. I don't think I have ever read a more beautiful, heartfelt tribute. He sounds like a wonderful man -- thank you for sharing him with us.

Kathleen, so sorry to hear about your dad. What a wonderful loving tribute - the words & the pictures - but most of all the deep love of a daughter for her father really is beautiful. Share a hug with your mom - she was a lucky woman to have found the love of her life.

Oh Kathleen, I couldn't believe my eyes when I clicked open your blog. I am so saddened to hear about the loss of your Dad. I love the tribute that you wrote about him and the pictures that you included. Obviously he was a very loving man who had enough love to go around for seven kids -- that's quite an admirable quality. I see where you get it from. I know you, your mom and your family will miss him terribly. Love, prayers and hugs, Kim
